“ It's been a few months now since I received my NV610 and I can say I'm very very pleased with this cabinet. This cab justs punches out bottom, mids, and plenty of sweet smooth highs. It is suprisingly easy to move and load. It is perfect for big venues as well as cramped smaller gigs. I'm powering my 610 with a QSC-2402 (bridged) and a Dememter VTBP201S most of the time. I also have a Walter Woods Ultra that does a fantastic job. I do want to mention my other favorite rig is either amp setup with my HT/EX112 cabs. Jim Bergantino is very helpful and really cares about his products and customers. I've waited quite a while to post, because I really wanted to make sure this is the gear I wanted to use for a very long time. ”

“ Dear Jim,
I've had SWR, Eden, Ampeg, Trace Eliiot, Gallien Krueger, and Peavey cabs. But nothing sounds like your cabs. I've got the 6X10 and I love it. I may also be buying a 2X15 with the 6 inch mid also. If anybody wants great sounding versitle cabs these cabs are the way to go. ”

“ I have been playing for about 14 years now and I have owned and/or played almost all of the high end bass cabs the industry has to offer. I recently picked up a 2x10 Bergantino cab and it is simply the best cab I have ever played. I am amazed at how the cab handles the low B with ease and how it is cuts through the mix when playing up high on the fretboard. To simply put it, mesa, eden, swr, aguilar and all the others just do not make a cab the can compare with the Bergantino. Congrats on making a superior product, and every bass player should purchase a cab asap, trust me its worth the money. ”

“ Hey Jim,
I recently purchaced your 6x10 cab and I am in love with it. Hopefully I will soon be able to buy your 2x15 to add to it and then I will be set for life. I play a Fender Jazz with EMG's and it was the best sound I have ever heard in my life. I'm not worthy!!! ”

“ Hi Jim,
Just wanna say thanks for building such wonderful cabs. I own the HT322 and the NV610 and they both produce the sweetest and most musical tone I've ever heard...THANKS! ”

“ Jim,
Now that I've found your HT 322 cabinet and your new pre-amp, I have finally found the sound of my bass. I have played through every other cabinet on the market trying to find the right one and NOTHING ELSE COMES CLOSE. My bass is very happy. ”

“ Jim - Thank you for tracking me down. The HT115 with the EBS HD650 is indeed a sweet combination. The cab and amp along with my 5 string Sadowsky produces the most phenominal fat and punchy slap salsa to a round and mid rangy "I Want You Back" Motown sound. Thanks for putting in the engineering time to create the ULTIMATE ENCLOSURE for bass players. ”

“ Jim -- I've had my HT-112 for a couple months now and have had the chance to use it in several rehearsals and a gig. I've never once had problems hearing myself at any power level, no matter how loudly the band is playing. I recently paired it with a Warwick Quadruplet preamp and a Peavey GPS 1500 power amp (bridged, of course) at rehearsal. I have never had this much fun playing bass. Every tone I dialed in sounded incredible, and the coherent, focused sound the HT-112 really cut through everything. This is easily the best cabinet I've ever played. Thank you for swimming upstream in the bass world! ”

“ Hi Jim... I purchase my first HT-210 and HT-115 last April. They sounded so great with Kern Tube Pre-Amp and the QSC PLX3002 bridged at 3000 watts that I bought 2 more 210s and another QSC PLX3002!!! This 6000 watt monster rig with 4 cabinets works in any combination I may need for any gig. We've done a few outdoor concerts last summer and we're in for a couple more this summer. This rig will handle it very well. Thanks for such a great product!!! My Vintage Warwick Thumb 6s sound awesome!!! The rest of the band is really in love with the bass sound they hear. ”

“ Hi Jim. I was introduced to your cabs while visiting Roger Sadowsky's shop in NYC last November. Long story short, I was so impressed that I purchased two HT-322's (through BassNorthwest). I wanted to wait until I had played several shows with my new cabs before sending you my thoughts. I've read many of the "Posted Comments" on your website, and I absolutely concur with all the positive feedback. I'm now in my mid-40's and have been gigging steadly since high school. Over the years I've spent tons of dough on the best offerings from many of the big names, starting with Acoustic 360's in the early 70's to GK to SWR and for the past 8 years I've been using Eden. Bottom line is, your cabs blow 'em all away! There simply isn't any comparison! The CLARITY from lows to highs is absolutely amazing! After a 4 set gig cranking out old-school Funk, your cabs show no sign of fatigue whatsoever! They are still as crystal clean as they were on the first song of the night. The low end seems to have endless capacity. I've tested them at very high volume, and I simply cannot get these cabs to 'break-up'! My Eden cabs would have started "farting" big time given the same treatment. The mids are focussed and very musical, never harsh... and WOW that tweeter! Unbelievable! The transition from woofer to tweeter is velvety smooth, no detectable coloration... just glassy clean highs! I also want to thank you for taking the time on the phone sharing your insight and advice. Your commitment to customer service is something you just don't find these days. Since purchasing your cabs, I've completely revamped my rig, and many of the choices I've made have been because of your recommendations. FYI: The two basses I'm playing now are: 2004 Sadowsky PJ and a 1974 Fender Jazz (run thru a Sadowsky outboard Preamp)... into a Demeter VTBP-201S Preamp... then into a Crest-Audio CA9 power amp. Occasionaly I use a compressor (DBX 160A), ...plus the usual stuff: Korg DTR-1 Tuner, Furman AR-1215 Voltage Regulator, Furman PL-Plus Conditioner, Monster Cables. I will say that at most club gigs, I only use ONE of the HT-322's. Using two is simply over-kill... but on a big stage or an outdoor show, having both cabs is incredible. Talk about HEAD-ROOM! Your advice to go with the Demeter was exactly what I was looking for! Perfectly clean reproduction, it really allows the SOUND OF MY BASS to fill the room. AND you were absolutely right about the Crest-Audio CA9 amp. After all the research and comparing that I've done, I'm so happy with it! When I A/B'd it against one of my QSC PLX 3402's, I was astonished at the difference! The CA9 just crushed the QSC! I use three 3402's in my PA, and they serve me well (with multiple amps, weight is a factor), but having the CA9 in my bass rig just blows away the QSC! And BTW, I really like the SOUND of the CA9 over the Crown Mac-2402. The Mac is a great amp to be sure, it would have been my 2nd choice, but with the Mac you pay for a lot of features (PIP, etc.) that aren't used in a bass rig, and to my ears the CA9 just sounds "warmer" than the Mac. Jim, you really have raised the bar with your incredible cabs. I feel very fortunate to have connected with you. Many good players are out there using XLT's and Goliaths and they simply don't know what they don't know. I'm just glad I'm no longer one of 'em! ”

Thank you.

“ Jim, thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me when I was thinking about buying an HT322. Your professionalism and knowledge about what makes bass sound GREAT really biased me towards your product. Of course, when I compared the HT322 against the other fine cabinets (Aguilar, EBS, Glockenklang, AccuGroove, etc) in the shop, the killer sound of your cab sealed the deal. I can't believe it's only a 12" producing such SOLID and LOUD low end. You have redefined the state of the art... ”

“ Bergantino, I don't know where to begin with these cabs except that they are like nothing else I've tried in the past. And I do mean NOTHING. These cabs have yet to be discovered by my fellow bassists (some of whom are still struggling with find their 'sound'). I usually portray an advocate of good news and it would be more than a boost of persuasion for these guys to hear these cabinets. Maybe (and most likely) it will change their minds. I know that from here on out these cabs will always be a firsthand choice for me. There's a catch phrase that I hear quite often whenever a new product makes its way into the marketplace; usually whatever 'IT' may be, 'IT KICKS ASS'. In this particular case, 'BERGANTINO KICKS ASS'. On the day I purchased my first HT112 cabinet, it took several hours prior to making a choice. During that time I'm able to try four of the larger cabs; I was ridiculously blown away by every damned one of these loud bastards, thus making my choice even harder. Being that the HT112 would eventually have become my choice, I'm anxiously brimming with impatience in preparation for my later gig at an outside venue while at the same time, I'm pondering about being outside - I HATE PLAYING OUTSIDE. But, nonetheless, the 112 make an unbelievable impact on me. I'll never doubt these cabs again. I received nothing but comments about this cab all night because it speaks for itself. In the near future, my next cab will be the HT210. I'm definitely sure it'll blow me away - like Michael J. Fox from "BACK TO THE FUTURE". Bergantino, you guys are setting the standard for the future. Thanks and keep up the good work. ”

“ Just picked up an HT112 and an EX112 @ Bass Northwest and used them over the weekend. The sound is just utterly awesome. Did notice one thing that would be a bit nicer, at least for me. Is it possible to put the handle strap on the side versus the top of the speaker enclosure? I probably really shouldn't place an amp on top of the cab, but some situations are tight on space. Thanx guys. ”

“ I get so many compliments on the sound of my fretless jazz through my HT210 with an Ashdown head. I've discovered I can play half the notes than I usually play, and still make the same money. It's such an awesome sound, it has become almost therapeutic for the audience, as well as myself. I guess as more bass players find out about your products, the more I will have to rely on my skill level. ”

Thanks Jim!

“ I too, have recently purchased one of the finest cabinets ever to set wheel in my basement. And to think, it took me only three years of playing to find this cabinet. A "newbie" I may be, but my ear is as discriminating as the touring professional, and I know when I hear quality. Paired with my Elrick Classic 5 and Eden preamp, the HT322 makes my tone the most transparent, and "me-sounding" that it has ever been. These cabinets truely are the clearest thing I have ever heard in my life. I play a lot of high volume slap/tapping stuff, and not so, but at the same time this cabinet, as stated in previous posts, remains clear and unfatigued even after hours upon hours of playing. If anyone reading this is trying to make a decision between ANY of Mr. Bergantino's product with ANY other cabinet on the market....you need sit back, and look at what all of these people are saying about this product. It simply smokes (not literally)!!! Now, I don't think I can say anything else that hasn't already been stated about this product except...If you seriously care about your tone, you would be a FOOL not to pick up one of these enclosures. (All I need to do now is save up the cash to get ANOTHER HT322!!!) ”

“ On a recommendation from Mr. Bergantino, I purchased a Crest CA9 power amplifier and it made a world of difference with my NV610! I used a PLX2402 prior to the Crest. If you're in the market for the finest bass cabinets on the Planet, then do yourself a favor and talk to Jim about what made his wonderful boxes do their thing. I'm very pleased with my setup. ”

“ Hello. I bought the HT112 and EX112 after playing through them only a couple of minutes. My main rig is a Bag End S15D-X with an AccuGroove Tri112 on top. My temporal center now being NYC, there's no use in trying to lug around an El Whappo to every gig! I love it but it had to stay in KC. My new location has given me an excuse to buy more gear and put together a small, portable, "subway-friendly" rig. I have been drooling over the WW amps ever since I played through an older dual-channel my former bass teacher owns. For cabs, I was considering Epifani's UL series, the Aguilar 112 and of course the Bergies! The only mentioned cabs that were available for audition anywhere near Lawrence, KS was Mass Street Music. They now carry Aguilar products and had two 112s they let me audition for a couple nights. They were so light and very small. One huge annoyance was the handle. There's just one handle and it's mounted on the right side if you're looking at it from the front (stacked horizontally). If you stack them with the labels orientated correctly (horizontal), no problem. When stacking them vertically the handles make even stacking the cabs themselves unstable. It would be foolish to try and put an amp on top of it. Little things like this make the Bergantino cabs a step above their competitors. After playing a Clarus 1 through one HT112 I was completely smitten with the combo. The salesperson told me that Jim recommends using the HT with the EX. I then tried the HT/EX combination and was so stirred I bought them right up. I didn't even have my own bass to audition the cabs, either! Now my rig will be a Clarus 1, Berg HT112 and EX112. It will take some time for the cabs to settle and I look forward to making comparisons to other familiar cabinets and amplification. Jim you've done a hell of a job, here! ”

Cheers,
B

“ Hey Jim, I bought one of your NV610 cabinets down at Rock City and I love it. I've gone through a whole bunch of cabs to finally find the right one. It cuts through the mix perfectly right where you need it and the low end is super tight. Great tone, and its lightweight and portable too. Keep up the good work. ”

“ Hi, I've been playing Bergantino cabs since they were first introduced to the public. They sounded fabulous when I first got them and now that they have been played for years, they still rock hard. I have a 310, a 210 and a 1X18. The 310/118 setup is the best sounding setup that I have ever heard and I've played them all. Thanks Jim for an outstanding product and best of luck. ”

“ I planned on waiting until the "honeymoon" period was over before posting comments on my HT112 and EX112 cabs. It has been about four months since my purchase and the honeymoon period is still going strong. I play through them at least 5 days per week. I tried out most of the Berg cabs as well as others such as Aguliar, Eden, etc, but came back to the HT and EX combo set up. They sound scary good when I use a pick on flat wounds, great with my five with SS rounds, finger style, etc. I do a little slapping and they sound good but I think the 322 sounds better for that kind of thing. More often than not I am playing pretty loud and am amazed at what these little babies can put out. I had to ask Evan at Bass Northwest if I was crazy for running these two midget cabs as loud as I do. He just smiled and said, "not at all". ”

“ Jim, I ended up owning an HT322 by mistake (store order got mixed up). It was the best error I have ever been involved in. I got it, so I tried it....I did not give it back, and told the store to keep those EDEN 410 and 212 because I did not want them at all. I will advise my fellow Latin-bass players that you can hit those "tumbaos" hard with this HT322 cabinet. My Low Bs are solid, clear and beyong human-comprehension. Reagge, Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Drum and Bass...it does not matter how low you need it, this apparatus will go down there stress-free. Bergantino is the future in bass sound...No doubts about it! ”

I ran my Ashdown head flat with my old jazz bass in hand...wicked!..Ive owned the others..Trace Elliot(various), Hartke, S.W.R., Ampeg...forget em..Theyre not fit to share the stage with the mighty HT322! “ Hi Jim, I want to take a moment to thank you for speaking with me on the phone and also to thank you for providing us bassists with incredible products. I bought an HT112 and an EX112 combo and they are working out great. I recently played a large outdoor "county fair" type gig with the combo and my SWR SM900 amp. I was a little concerned that I may need some extra help from the monitor guy but was very pleasantly surprised when I plugged in for the quick sound check and turned the master volume up to around 10 o'clock. The sound guy, who was probably 75 feet away, immediately told me to lower my stage volume and angle the cabs away from dead-center. So I turned it down to 9 o'clock and had plenty of stage volume. I played the same venue with the same head and a Goliath II a couple of years ago and had to crank it up to 12 o'clock. I have some back problems and my back is much happier with the lower weight of these cabs. I'm completely amazed that I'm able to get so much more out of these cabs. I will happily recommend your bass cabs to any bassist. Thanks again! ”

“ My guitar player has serious G.A.S. At his request, and with no further intentions, I stopped into Rock City Guitars in Somerville Ma. to try the Bergantino cabs. I was VERY pleased with the sound I had acheived over the years with my rig. Not only were both owners courteous professionals, but also very down to earth bass players who truly knew their stuff. That day it became a mission as a bass player to become a Bergantino user. I have recently replaced my Ampeg SVT-410HE with horn and SVT-18, with the Bergantino 322. I actually TURN OFF my graphic EQ, and have leveled out my parametric a bit due to the true quality sound of the Berg'. The 322 ALONE DESTROYS my old cabs together. Not only have I trimmed down my gear, but I have a sound that bass players and sound guys' jaws' hit the floor when they hear it. Thanks both to Bergantino, and Rock City Guitars in Somerville Ma. ”

“ I just picked up two 1-12 boxes, one with the horn... My God! The sound is huge! Carries my Bongo 5's deep, clear and punchy, and also the Chapman Stick's sonic pallet is stunning. Driving them with a Stewart World 1.6, Alembic FX1. A truly light weight rig, with heavy weight knock out punch!! ”

“ Let me begin with a hearty THANK YOU! These are by far the best sounding bass cabs I've ever played through! I've owned SWR, Bag End, Trace Elliot, and Eden over the years and as far as price, portability, and most importantly sound quality, these cabinets beat the competition hands down. The EX112 and HT112 compliment each other nicely. Coupled with my Ampeg SVT-3 PRO this little rig is powerfull enough for any gig! With the added benefit of being able to fit the entire system in the extra cab of my truck! I am a freelance recording engineer as well as a bass player, any interest in building studio monitors? Thanks Again. ”

“ Dear Jim: Thank you ever so much for making the HT322. This is by far the best sounding bass cabinet on the market today, period. No questions asked. I own a Trace Elliot L1110 amp, Eden "Metro" and an Ampeg Portabass cab and none of these can hold a candle to the pure and natural sound coming from a HT322. No fancy gizmos or built in equalizers, this is a very powerful, trouble free, pure sounding speaker cab. If you are seeking the best than the HT322 is the cab for you. My Trace Elliot is a original first production amp made in Britain, this is a very good amp but not as powerful or clear sounding as the HT322. Period. God Bless you Jim. You are the greatest! ”

“ I've used this cab with an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro for practicing for several months. I finally had a chance to gig with some friends. The Drummer plays very loud. This one cab can keep up with a loud unamplified drum set and sounds awesome. With the deep switch on, I actually have to low down the Bass and set it between 9 and 10 o'clock with my American Jazz Bass. With my American Precision, I let the bass be flat or up to 1 o'clock. The volume was set at 2 o'clock, so there was plenty of power left that I didn't have to use yet. I don't use the EQ at all. My pals are very pleased with the sound of my gear. Nice clean and BIG vintage sound with the Ampeg amp, with this nice distortion when pushed. Very round bottom and very punchy. It's my first expensive cab and I'm very pleased. It makes my playing experience very enjoyable. I hope you guys will keep up the production, because I plan to buy another one as soon as my budget allows me. ”

“ Hi Jim, I've had the pleasure of owning one of your HT322s for about a year now and I can proudly say that I own the most amazing bass cabinet on the planet. It's continually used in many different situations, live, studio, rehersal, in the closet, etc. and it works brilliantly in each one. Thanks so much for recommending a pre-amp/high wattage power amp set up for your incredible cabinet. I just love the sound of the Demeter HPB-1 feeding my beastly 1500 watt Crown K1. When I win the lotto I plan on purchasing one of your NV-215s. Best wishes and once again GO SOX!!!! ”

“ Ok. I've just spent 2hrs on a FRIDAY night reading all these comments about Bergantino's cabinets after spending 4hrs at the local guitar shop comparing Ampeg to Fender to SWR to Peavey to Aguilar and of course to Bergantino. I played every combination available among these makes, heads and cabinets both. Hands down the 6x10 Bergantino won me over with it's seamless transition from highs to lows and exact emulation of my prized Fender Jazz which I spent 2 weeks to find, playing it against every bass available for sale, in Tucson, AZ - literally. I have been playing through a Carvin 1000 head with a Carvin 4x10 and Carvin 1x18. It's safe to say that I'm switching to the Berg NV610 unless I can find a NV425 or HT322 to listen to first. I have a hunch that I may be able to get a decent sound using my Carvin head along with an Avalon pre-amp. Can you give me some input on this? ”

“ Well I got the chance to use my new 112s the other night at rehearsal and it was really nice. I only used the HT112 with my GK RB1001 head. It was plenty loud and I know if I used the other 112 I would have blown them away. Really nice with the weight and size too. I have always been a big fan of BIG cabinets, but these things are great! Thanks for being so helpful and for responding so quickly to my e-mails. My band loves you, I love you and most importantly, my back loves you! ”

“ I have been an SWR user since 1992. Parting has been sweet sorrow. I feel guilty putting the cover on my Goliath II for the last time. Rest in peace my old friend. When I turn on my Aguilar DB 750 and pump up my HT322, holy crap, what new memories I am making. This cabinet has amazing capacity, punch and clarity. Whether I am playing in an acoustic rock or funk band, this cabinet has the tone, versatility to handle any situation. This cabinet takes the same leap in sound and tone that SWR took from a folded 15" cabinet back in the late 80's. ”

“ If you're waiting for a better 2x10 than this, time is definitely passing you by. It is possible to have hi-fi transparency and agressive volume handling in one cabinet that fits in your back seat - just ask Jim Bergantino. After having tried just about everything, I've found THE tone at a price that seriously competes with the other high-end cabinet makers. Now I just need to decide what complements it best: another 2x10 or perhaps the 1x15... Jim, thanks for an increible cabinet, at a great price with flawless customer service. You are a player's dream. ”

“ Hello, and a big thank you to everyone at Bergantino! I have been using the HT 112 with a Clarus II for nearly a year now, but it was the past six months of cross-Canada touring which really put it to the test, and convinced me that I got more than I paid for. The characteristic that I love most about this cab is that while it certainly has the guts and depth to handle large rooms and stages, even outdoors, it also has the sensitivity to operate at much lower volumes -- which is where most of my work gets done. It never washes out the whole stage, but projects well into the room. The sound is natural and transparent, but not too thin or brittle. Always plenty of support, whether its acoustic folk, a jazz trio, or something much louder. Thank you, and keep up the good work! ”

“ I played a concert at the Continental Arena in NJ. There were 2 different bass rigs there. One was a Hartke with two 410 Cabs the other an SWR 810 Cab. I wanted to use my own rig which included just one HT322 cab. They told me before I hooked in that my setup was to small and my sound would get lost on stage. Then I setup and played and everybody's mouth dropped. It was the biggest most cleanest sound they had ever heard. Thanks for making such a versatile cabnet. That was a Hip Hop gig. I also use it for R&B, ,jazz, gospel, etc. I dont use anything else. I wish I could get it when I'm on the road with Gloria Gaynor !!! ”

“ Jim, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with me and also for your good advice. I immediately contacted Juan Ortiz at Basses Electric-Acoustic after our conversation, and inquired about the three brands of cabs I was initially interested in. He said all three brands were great but the Bergs were in a league of their own tone-wise. Now that I'm playing through my new HT210/HT115 'Berg Stack', I couldn't agree more. I use a Read Custom Purity tube preamp and I'm powering my Berg Stack with a Crest CA-9 power amp. I won't be gigging for a few more weeks, but I'm playing through my new setup here at home quite a bit. My old Ampeg BXT410HL cabs did a good job when I was only playing 4-strings, but when I started playing a Roscoe SKB3006 6-string, it was painfully obvious that my Ampeg cabs weren't up to the task when it came to reproducing the sound of my Roscoe's thick low end and massive-sounding B-string. Plus, my Roscoe was built to my specs to have a 'horn-like' tone. Keith Roscoe really hit a grand slam when he built my bass! It has the sound I've been dreaming about for about the last 20 years. I wanted speaker cabinets that would allow the great sound of my Roscoe bass to be heard without altering it's tone in any way. My Berg Stack does this flawlessly. I've been complaining forever regarding all of these so-called 'hi-fi' bass cabs that I've owned and used prior to buying my Berg cabs. Too many times I wasn't able to get enough midrange emphasis from the cabs to cut through. It was really hard to hear myself when the stage volume got really loud. I could hear all of the other instruments, but my bass was constantly buried. I'd always comment: "Why can't someone make a cab with a flat audio response?" "I want to hear what my bass really sounds like, these cabs add too much of their character and tone to my sound!" My Bergantino cabs are the final components in my dream rig. I can't believe how clean and articulate my stack sounds, yet is has plenty of warmth, and a very detailed, musical tone. My Bergs also project the sound of my bass better than any cab I've owned or tried. It's almost scary. After doing some A/B comparisons with my Ampeg cabs and my Berg stack, I have no doubts that my Bergs will have more than enough volume for any of the gigs I play. Plus, the combined weight of my HT210/HT115 stack weighs less than one of my Ampeg BXT cabs! My back thanks you, and so do my ears! Jim, thanks again for helping me choose the perfect cab setup for my needs and for making such fantastic cabs. ”

“ I proudly played my HT 112 at the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND shows in INDIANA, HARTFORD, and Mansfield MASS. with singer songwriter AMY WARD this summer. This cabinet is the best in its class hands down! In the studio, it's the HT310's. Bergantino are truely amazing natural sounding cabinets! ”

“ It's been well over a year now since I obtained my Begantino NV-215 bass cab. I've played my Hofner Vintage '63 "Beatle" bass through it in a variety of settings and locations. Particularly I have played in on r & b southern-soul gospel concerts and recordings and it is beyond "warm" & "smoothe". I run a hybrid "head" consisting of a Crest LT-1000 power amp coupled with an Avalon U-5 (like Paul's) and it is the best tone I've ever heard. Plenty of power in the rig....never go past the 2nd notch (volume) on the U-5. I highly recommend this bass cab if you remember and especially like me, are still "stuck in the 60's"! ”
