Greetings Jim and happy new year!
Just thought I would finally post a long overdue "yippee"! Been playing my Bergi HT210 and HT210S for some time now and I'm floored every time I plug in. Thank you for building such incredible cabinets. Warm lows, smooth highs, crystal clear tone and plenty of power handling. What more can I ask for? Large clubs, small pubs, outdoor shows and in the studio they ALWAYS manage to make me sound better than I am :o) Keep up the good work!

Jim, I have been playing for about 25 years now and have had every other cab out there. I have owned your Mini Stack and own an NV610 and now I know why I carried an SVT and an 8X10 around for 11 years! This cab IS vintage tone...I paired it with an Aggie DB750 and it just nails the vintage vibe effortlessly! I use a Thunderfunk with it and get quite a lot of tonal variety from that pairing as well. I can't thank you enough for making products that do what is advertised and keep on delivering time after time. I also appreciate your passion and the time you take making sure your customers are happy with their choices of your products. That is becoming a lost art in this crazy world we live in! Thanks again!

I just wanted to let you know that Mark F. and I went to see the new IP310 and IP212 at Basses Electric & Acoustic in Sacramento on Monday. These new cabs are amazing. They are all Bergantino sound for sure. I could not believe how good they sounded and how light they were, even with the built in amp. I understand the amp only weighs about 7 pounds. You have done it again with more great sounding audiophile grade gear. BTW, I have been using my HT322 on a regular basis for gigging and it still amazes me how great it sounds. I have sold all my other cabs and only use the Bergantino cabs (the HT322 as well as the excellent NV425) with my Aguilar DB-750. I have received much praise from my band mates on how good my sound and tone is since adding the Bergantino cabs to my sound reinforcement. In addition, I have had several bass players ask me about the Bergantino cabinets and just love the sound. I now carry Juan Ortiz's business cards (Basses Electric & Acoustic) with me to gigs as I have received a lot of inquiries about my Bergantino/Aguilar setup. Anyway, I suspect the IP310 and IP212 will be a major success. I sure hope that you also come out with an IP2x10/1X12 (an HT322 with the built in amp)in the future. I still can not say enough good things about the Bergantino cabs. The best period....... in my opinion.

Lee W. is right! There is a new sheriff in town, and you had better watch your step! Hi, Jim! I got the 322 from Juan (another shameless plug for your number-one agent in Northern California, Juan Otiz)and I could not be happier. I would also like to congratulate you on your new IP technology. I got to drool over the IP212 and the IP310, and I salute your spirit of innovation. The Switch Wars are over, and we can rest assured that Jim Bergantino is in the vanguard of a new age of bass. Now, how about some soup?

Jim, I have done a lot of research online about basses, amps, and cabinets. You are probably the only maker that I've never read a negative review about. This is what persuaded me to buy your NV425, sight unseen and unheard, from the fine fellows down at Bass Emporium. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and immediately I understood why you only receive the highest of praises. This cabinet is remarkable. I couldn't for the life of me decide which of the NV series cabs to go with, so I decided to take 2 of the best attributes from the NV215 and the NV610 and went for the 115 and 310 set up. After hearing this, I wish I could own one of each. But realistically, I don't see me ever needing another large (although on the smaller side of the large spectrum) cabinet ever again. I thank you for meeting and exceeding all of my expectations. Thanks.

Just to let you know, Mr. Bergantino... I received an NV425 only yesterday (Mon, Jan 9, 2006), which I ordered from Juan Ortiz the week before Christmas. I already have an NV215, and I've been loving that cabinet for almost a year. I got the NV425 so I can pair it up with the NV215. I'm hooking them both up to an Aguilar DB750. As luck would have it, my band had a practice session scheduled last night, so I was able to play through both cabinets. I have a 10K sq. ft. warehouse in an industrial area, so volume is not an issue. All I can say is... 3 x 15"s and 3 x 10"s (plus that little 6-incher) make an amazing combination... simply incredible! Even at low volume, the sound of bass... from top to way, way bottom... fills the room. However, it's important to note: by "filling the room", it isn't over-powering, or dominating... it's just that the bass is unmistakenly present. I hope I'm making sense...Thank you for the NV line of speakers, Mr. Bergantino. I'm glad I got mine before their discontinuation, and I wish you all the best with your new line of cabinets, as I'm confident of your forthcoming success with them, too!

I checked your site for the first time in a long while, and I noticed your NV line has gotten smaller. And I have been saving up for a NV215. Hope you keep this line going. There are a lot of us out there that hate the sound of a tweeter in a bass cabinet. To prove my point, look at how many of us play thru an Ampeg 810! It is refreshing to see a new player drop the tweeter and get back to bassics!

An active bass cabinet! Well, well,,,about 10 years late. Leave it to a design genius like Bergantino to finally get it right! I look forward with great interest in auditioning one at my local bass boutique.
Thanks!

I have been waiting for an active bass cabinet for years. I am excited to try out the new line at my local shop. It might be time to get rid of the old gear and settle into some new stuff.

Guys, About 2 Christmases ago, Rudy Pensa (Rudys Guitar Stop) was raving to me about the HT322 box. I bought one a few weeks later. Im using an EBS TD650 head with it. Keep in mind I own a hi-end bass and guitar business and I'm a little jaded. I will say this. This is the best rig I've ever had. The cab sounds great with everything you power her with or put thru it. Durable and reliable, thats the kicker. GREAT PRODUCT!

I recently purchased a used HT322 cab from Bass NW in Seattle WA. This cab is totally amazing! Smooth is the best word that comes to mind. It simply just sounds the way you want to sound. I'm waiting for a David Eden WT-800 head to arrive, and have a second HT322 on it's way as well. I cannot wait to hear these cabs driven in stereo mode from the WT-800 head!
You guys have done it right on these cabinets. My deepest thanks and appreciation for such an outstanding product. Amazing!

Last week I received my brand new IP112 and used it out on 2 gigs - just amazing! I bought it based on info from a friend (thanx Steve!), the comments posted here and on a few bass gear related sites, and from talking with Jim (thanx for the time!) and Corey. After selling almost all my other bass amps and cabs, I see I'll never have to lug so much weight around again to get the sound I'm looking for! Now I can't wait to add on the EX112, just so my 'stack' will be tall enough on stage so people don't say "where's your rig?" ;)

Hi Jim ,
I've posted about my HT310 before , but I gotta tell you again , this is the tightest , punchiest cabinet I've ever owned ... and I've owned quite a few .
I bought this cab in April 2002 , and it's still my main workhorse . Thanks again.

Bergantino...What more can one say!
I've had my self named BMS (Berg Mini Stack) for several years now and still love it. The HT112 is still my favorite sounding cab of all time. Recently I aquired and NV215 that I use with my Ag DB750 and it is just awesome. Punch Loud and Low!! Jim's new IP212 really has me intrigued and I wish I could try one out. I'm ready to sell of some of my other gear if that baby does what I think it will do. Jim is the best and really cares about his products and customers. I'm truly a fan of Bergantino, person and products.

Nice job guys. i am thinking about down the road adding a 15" speaker to it will you make one or maybe your small 2-10.

After talking to Mr. Bergantino, I decided to purchase an IP310 and IP212 without even hearing them first. Not to repeat myself, you can read my past comments above about my 322's (Dec. 4th, 2005 - Dominick J.). When I first played my new IPs my jaw just hit the floor!! Basically these new cabs take everything I love about my 322's to a whole new level. Either the 212 or 310 sound unreal by themselves (the DSP and poweramp rule!!) but pair them together and it's a wall of tone!! Punchy, clear, deep and full with the usual amazing top end. I have to admit, I was suprised by the sound of the IP212, I thought that the IP310 would spank it in the tone and punch depts. but it's a toss up as to which I prefer. I tried both cabs with a Trace Elliot head and a Millennia TD-1. The Millennia sounds far better than the Trace but I think my favorite preamp for the Bergies is still the Demeter HBP-1. I have two on order right now and I think that, along with the IP's will be the end of the road for my ultimate tone search. I like these new cabs so much I'm selling all of my other amps and cabs and I plan on buying one more IP (for the practice pad) and that's it, TONE HEAVEN!!
Thank you Jim!! Dominick J. Mesa, AZ

Holy Crap-
Just hooked up a Demeter Bass Pre-Amp up to the IP310. The way I look at bass tone will be forever changed. This the warmest, most responsive, clearest, most incredible rig imaginable. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up, it is so choice!

Proud owner of the HT322, I must say that this cabinet is amazing, and I'm not even throwing a full 800 watts into it. So Jim, to hear that you have the IP series in full swing is great! What better way to show your cabinets in their prime than to power them they way they are meant to be powered. I'm extremely excited to try the 310 and 212 out, and will most likely swing down to the local shop tomorrow. Great product guys!!!

Hi Jim, I just purchased a 322 last week, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am about this cab. I never knew my basses could sound this good! I was a loyal SWR user, but they are all gone now. I went into a store here in Atlanta, and believe it or not, within 10 seconds of playing it, I knew I had to have it. It's that good. Funny thing is, the store owner always tried to get me to try one out, and I always refused. I always thought they were too pricey. They are worth every penny!!!! I wish I hadn't waited so long now. I can definitly see another Berg cabinet in the very near future.

Every night before I go to sleep, I pray to the BASS gods and especially Saint Bergantino!
I have owned the IP112 for a couple on months now and held off on posting a review because I wanted to really work it first. I have owned the EX112 for several years and sold my HT112 when I purchased the IP112 from Rudy’s in NYC.
I must admit Jim’s new approach took awhile to get use to because I love knobs, sliders and switches. Kind of the way I felt when I went into my first digital studio (guess I’m an analog kind of guy) but the combination IP112 and the EX112 is explosive in sound and is so easy to use.
The volume is more then most bass players will ever need. At rehearsals, my volume is set at about 4 on the dial…and we are a loud band. Before I got the IP, I ran the EX and HT with an Iamp 800 and would have to push the amp to be heard. The IP is much louder. It has beautiful tone and bottom end. Mids and highs are great too. My drummer complements me on them still and he has been listening to them now for several months. I have never played and not had someone come up and complement me on my sound.
I have been running my system with the Line 6 BASS POD xt LIVE. I have everything turned off. I only use it for volume and the tuner. I occasionally use an effect but the IP really sounds great by it self and really doesn’t need anything else. The only reason I keep the Line 6 is because it would cost me just as much to buy a new volume pedal and a good floor tuner.
Also, Jim was great and spent about an hour of his time on a Sunday talking to me about the setup. It does take getting use to not having an amp on top of your speakers or no knobs to tweak. Now I really play with the pre amp on the guitar which is something I really didn’t do much before the IP.
The system hasn’t fell short in any area and I highly recommend Jim’s products as they deliver what I believe is the best bass sound on the market today!
Thanks Jim for all your support and a great sounding bass rig!!

Jim,
First off thanks for your product. The HT210S blew me away the first time I heard it. I'm now getting a used HT210 and HT115 stack to hold me while I work out the funds for an IP310 or IP212!!!
Its very cool to know that the very guy that engineered my cab and made it, can tell me exactly why every detail is the way it is. What Im saying is that in a world of bass gear hype and fluff, Bergantino is the most well rounded bass cab, from sound, to service.
Thanks a again Jim.

Hey Jim,
I'm a loving fan of your cabs: the HT-EX 112 stack with my Crest power amp and Sansamp preamp rocks(My little set-up kills everyone elses in this area!) Have you ever considered making an IP stereo head? (I,ve heard your IP speakers and they kick ass, but I still love separates. P.S. Juan Ortiz at Basses-Electric-Acoustic is the best music dealer on the face of the earth.

I own a pair of Bergantino single-12 cabs. I used to use a Genz-Benz 410xb which sounded pretty good, but was a beast (weight wise). The Bergs are compact & portable. The sound is the best I've heard... clean and tight. Even better than the sound, to me, is the response... the way it makes my instrument/playing feel.

Jim,
Thanks for taking the time to talk with me on the phone. It was super cool and top notch to talk with the gentleman who took to time designing the rig I now can't live without. I purchased the IP112 + the EX112 and I have got to say....WOW. That is a huge understatement. I was concerned moving from my 4x10 cab that these 2-12's would be less than what I was used to. Was I ever wrong, in every way. The tone, the accuracy, the sheer volume that these little cabs produces with your IP amp/DSP settings are truly unbelievable. You have to hear it to believe it. Have I mentioned yet how good it sounds? At my first gig, I simply couldn't believe the kind of quality tone I was getting. I even caught myself laughing during the gig, I was actually giddy it was so much fun to play through.
My Warwick's have been my only bass of choice to play while my poor Fender Jazz American Std has been untouched for the last couple of years. I was even thinking of selling it but after playing the J-bass through the IP112+EX112, there is no way I would ever get rid of it. I love the sound of that bass now...
Thanks again for a top-notch quality product, and a shout out to Bass-Northwest who was an outstanding retailer to work with and a shout out to Tom Bowlus at talkbass.com forums who first turned me on to the Bergantino IP series!
My first Bergantino experience has been wonderful and look forward to every gig I get to play! Thanks Jim!

This is a follow up to my past comments on my IP310 / IP212 stack. I was waiting on a custom Demeter HBP-1 preamp and it finally arrived. As I had hoped it sounds unreal with the IP cabs!! In my opinion this is without a doubt the best sounding setup I have ever heard, bar none!! The tone is just thick, rich, warm and punchy, plus I barely need to use any EQ at all. Search over!!
Thank you,

I've had my HT322 for a handful of months now and I just want to say...Thank you.
I switched from using 2 - GS112s to 1 - HT322 and the difference was awesome, don't get me wrong I still love GS112s they have a sound of their own but the HT322 is THE cabinet for me and it seems to be a perfect fit with the DB750. Just beautiful.... Thank you.

I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of your amazing little speakers - HT112's. I'm fairly sure I'm the only one around here to have them.
I've just got back from Bass NW in Seattle, and plugged them straight into my rig (Eden WT 800B, in stereo, with Drawmer compressor, Aphex Aural Exciter 204, Lexicon MPX 1, and EBS Stereo analogue chorus, Bass IQ and Octabass pedals) with the same settings I had for the Aguilar 112's. Firstly, I had to turn down, because your speakers are more efficient, and next step was to remove all the EQ I had to use on the Aguilars to try to get some of the midrange back.
These little things are extraordinary; rich, deep, punchy, loud, and with the sweetest top end in the business. Finally, my MTD 635 fretless masterpiece has the sound it deserves; the top range of that bass has sounded thin and scratchy through all the cabinets I've used; with the Bergies, thick and rich. And they are small! I could fit at least three in the trunk of my car; with the Aguilars, I could only fit one because of the shape.
Anyway, thank you, Mr. Bergantino, for building such a great little cab; I'm really busy this month (25 gigs - almost like a real job!), and everything from jazz, to Afro-Cuban fusion, to R&B and Pub-Rock gigs, and one big outdoor East Indian Festival with a singer, flamenco guitarist, and a tabla player, so I'll report back to you after a few gigs. But I can already tell that all the midrange that was so lacking in the Aguilars is there in abundance now, with a nice controlled low frequency response.
Next step - two IP's to match, and trade all this other crap in on an Avalon preamp - I'll just keep the Lexicon.
Sincerely, Cameron Hood

Just tremendous sound! I'm not big on being able to describe sound in words, so all I can say is, get an IP310!

I recently purchased the HT122S/HT210S stack to cover the bigger gigs my HT/EX112 stack wouldn't do. First gig I used them on I was quite impressed. With a footprint not much bigger than my smaller stack they put out an incredible amount of volume with very good tone. I used them with the HT122S on the bottom and the HT210S on top, the way anyone would normally think to set them up. As good as they sounded there was something about them that sounded like a slight mismatch between the cabs that bothered me a little. I remembered someone telling me that on the old HT115/HT210 rig Jim would recommend putting the HT210 on the bottom, so I decided to try that with this rig. HOLY BEANO BATMAN, my GAS is OVER!!! Swapping the cabs around transformed these cabs into the most beautiful sounding rig I've ever heard in my life! Every thing I want to hear from my bass is there with such evenness and smoothness I can't believe my ears. I'm using a Walter Woods Ultra and an EA iAmp 800, and on both amps I am able to run them nearly flat with great results. I've been playing over 30 years with 20 of those as music with my only source of income. I am very picky about my tone and portability is also a factor in choosing my gear. The list of gear I've been through over the years would rival the infamous Tom Bowlus. I can not describe the feeling of finality that came over me, that my gear search is over and I can now get on with my life! THANK YOU JIM BERGANTINO!!!!

I've been a musician for over 30 years and owned and/or played through most everything there is out there on festival and club stage backline. The Bergis are definitely on the top of the list in tone, clarity, response, consistency (in different environments), and durability. I'm a proud owner of an HT322. I owned five rigs when I got the Bergantino last year. SWR, Eden, Trace, Agular, Ampeg. Now I'm down to just my Bergi and I see a couple of HT112 in my near future. It's always a pleasure to hear and feel exactly what your playing and to be able to convey that on stage. Thanks for an excellent product!! Also, there is a certain amount of prestige that goes along with the name. Whenever I whip my Bergi out, cats go "WOW, this guy must be serious" ..
